Big Frenchy aka Chardonose
We were in Provence wandering around small villages. A mid morning stop for coffee provided an opportunity to take photos of a very large gentleman sipping wine. I took many candid shots and picked this to paint. Some folks say he reminds them of a captain of a windjammer.

Song of Provence
A group of us occasionally rent a villa in different places in Europe. The villa we stayed in in Provence had an old gramophone. It appeared as it had when it was new. I thought a close up of a portion of the bell would be interesting. I gave up on this painting several times trying to get the color of the bell just right. The photo doesn't do it justice. I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think?

I saw a photograph of a couple walking in the park and thought a close up of the hands and picnic basket would tell the story without the figures. I like it. It would look good on your wall.
